Judi Windleharth, LMHC

I have an undergraduate degree in Women’s Studies and a Master’s in Library and Information Science. In my own journey, I reached a point where I felt strongly called to become a mental health counselor. I went back to school at Saybrook University, where I earned a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling with a Clinical Mental Health specialization.

I completed my internship at North Shore Youth and Family Services where I discovered that, while my training as a talk therapist has great value, I wanted more ways to help my clients process their traumatic experiences. Before I graduated, I completed my EMDR training with Jamie Marich at the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. I integrated this into my practice right away, and saw how my clients made progress in different ways than with talk therapy alone.

After seeing how this helped clients, I have focused on building my EMDR skills ever since!
